About Me

Pursuing a Passion

Ever since I was little, I loved performing. My first speaking role was in a British accent at a summer arts camp when I was four with a foam hat for a costume. I have been blessed to have grown up and live in the Lancaster County area in PA, which has become a hotspot for theatre in the past 15 years. When I was 9, I was cast in my first professional show, and I fell in love with musical theatre. The stage, the adrenaline rush, the feeling of fulfillment, the relationships formed, and the ability to deeply communicate with and move an audience captivated me. The performing arts is one of the most effective mediums for bringing hope and joy, stirring empathy, sharing a message, providing an escape, and inspiring change. I knew this was my passion and calling. As I continued performing in theatre around Lancaster, I worked to hone my skills by taking dance classes and voice lessons. During high school, I had the opportunity to try my hand at film acting, and it was exhilarating! Though character acting on a big stage for the grandma in the back to be able to see brings me so much joy, I love utilizing the nuances in expression and emotion that can be captured on film. Whether on the stage or in front of a camera, performing is what I desire to pursue for the rest of my life.

My favorite aspects of the performing arts are how it brings out the best in people and how it allows connections to be made. I have served for 7 years at the summer arts camp I grew up attending. This children's creative arts camp is in the heart of Lancaster City and aims to reach the community and stir a passion for the arts in the next generation. Through the years, I have taken on more responsibility and serve as the choreographer and teach the dance and acting classes. Seeing the kids realize and grow in their potential, amplify their confidence, and develop a passion for the performing arts highlights the power art has in bringing out people's gifts and talents. I have had the chance to travel with the camp overseas to Israel, Russia, and Belize where we taught the children a musical and offered dance, singing, acting, and arts and craft classes. Despite the language barriers, the performing arts made way for connections to be built between my team and the kids we met. The arts serve as a channel to powerfully create empathy and a love for others.

I graduated from South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a BS in Business Management in December 2022. I am incredibly thankful for each gained experience and to have further developed my singing, dancing, and both film and stage acting abilities. I am excited for all the opportunities that lie ahead to continue pursuing my passion for touching people's lives through the performing arts.
